"Teen Gets Life Sentence For Helping Girlfriend End Pregnancy"

He stepped on his girlfriend's stomach while she punched herself in order to end the pregnancy. Even though she asked him to help end the pregnancy, and even though it is impossible to tell whose actions lead to the miscarraige, the boyfriend gets sent to prison for life while the girlfriend is not prosecuted because she has a right to an abortion. If the prosecutors wanted, they could have even tried to get the boyfriend executed under Texas law.
